FGAR has been a series of Small and Simple grants from the Department of Neighborhoods (DON) for the purpose of revitalizing Seattle's Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery Park. FGAR does not have any specific development agenda but is interested in securing the future viability of the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery Park.

Over the last couple years FGAR has worked with Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation to implement improvements outlined a long term conceptual plan put together with extensive community input and Parks Department review. Recent improvements include the removal/replacement of non-native plants with new low maintenance plantings and installation of new irrigation system.

Looking forward, FGAR is in the midst of improving the drive through area. See Phase II. We are also looking forward to another spring full of daffodils and work parties as our community continues its commitment to the GAR Cemetery Park.
